Lecture: What is "healthy nutrition" - 90 minutes
Everyone wants to be - and stay - healthy. Awareness of the importance of stable health and a good, strong immune system has increased noticeably in recent years. Terms such as resilience and longevity have become an integral part of our vocabulary, as have the questions of "how" to achieve these goals.
What should you do to keep yourself as healthy as possible? And what is better not to do?
- Which diet is the right one? And why does a particular diet make sense for me - or not?
- Why are so many foods no longer tolerated and why do many people suffer from digestive problems so regularly - even if they follow a healthy diet?
- Is a healthy body weight important and if so, how can it be achieved without long-term diets and the yo-yo effect?
- And what about food supplements - is supplementation important or irrelevant? Or even dangerous?
- How much sport should you do? And what kind of sport?
- Is it necessary and sensible to fast? To take cold baths? Do yoga? And if so, why and how often?
Questions upon questions that cannot be answered identically for everyone. And the fact that the answers to these questions are often inconclusive or even contradictory doesn't make things any easier. What often happens is that the good intention of doing something good for yourself and prioritizing your own health is quickly abandoned due to excessive demands and/or confusion.
This is where our workshop series comes in. Because there are answers to these questions and a healthy lifestyle is possible and can be achieved and implemented by everyone!
However, it is important to understand why certain things are good or bad for everyone - and why certain other things can be highly individual and differ from person to person, from one stage of life to the next.
Once you have understood a few key principles, after our workshops you will be able to assess recommendations and trends for yourself and make confident decisions and implement changes in your everyday life that will make you a little healthier and more resilient every day - with fun and conviction, without counting calories, empty promises and rigid commands and prohibitions!
We will start with the following content in a first workshop:
- What is "healthy nutrition": Participants learn to understand the influence of inflammation on our health and performance and how they can successfully influence this key factor in everyday life.
- You will gain an insight into different forms of nutrition and their advantages and disadvantages and an understanding of how our body uses the nutrients we provide it with to give us the life experience we desire.
- They learn to understand why certain eating habits are disadvantageous for everyone and why there are also very healthy eating principles that lead to problems for the individual - and how to deal with this realization.
Lecture: Stress management: stress and resilience - 90 minutes
We often don't even realize how stressful our everyday lives have become. The stressors are manifold - family, work, everyday life, but we can also be exposed to various physical stressors. Too much or too little exercise, environmental toxins, constant availability and stimulation through electronic media - all of these pose major challenges for our body and nervous system and in many cases prevent us from achieving sufficient relaxation and regeneration phases.
Those who are unable to rest and regenerate will become increasingly sensitive to stress over time and show significantly less resilience to environmental stress. The immune system becomes weaker (or overactive), energy levels drop and general well-being suffers - often massively!
It is therefore particularly important to identify your own individual stressors in life, eliminate them where possible and then, of course, find ways to deal with life's hurdles and challenges in the best possible way.
This is where this presentation comes in and gives participants an insight into the following important topics:
- What influence does stress have on the immune system?
- How does the metabolism (blood sugar regulation) react to stress?
- What influence does stress have on sleep and the autonomic nervous system?
The second part is very practical, as we look at ways of influencing the body's own stress response in concrete terms. Because how we deal with stress can be influenced and a healthy stress response can be trained!
We will take a brief theoretical look at the topic of stress regulation and heart rate variability (HRV) and then go straight into practice to show how you can influence your own heart rate variability. We will introduce various tools and technical aids that can be used for this in everyday life.
Lecture: Anti-inflammatory nutrition: eliminating food intolerances and optimizing intestinal function - 60 minutes
The lecture deals with the perennial topic of food intolerances. More and more people are complaining about digestive problems - eating, even if it is healthy, is no longer fun, but regularly causes complaints such as flatulence, abdominal pain, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, but also fatigue, exhaustion, headaches, rashes, pain and much more. Often these symptoms are supposedly completely arbitrary - you simply don't know what else you can or should eat. Or you simply have the feeling that something is not right - but what you should and can change remains unclear.
In this workshop we will look at why certain foods trigger these reactions and how these dynamics can be supported in everyday life.
Participants will learn why optimal digestion is the basis of every healthy diet and what they can do to improve this key factor for themselves.
We address a sensitive topic when it comes to digestion - our bowel movements - and explain what the result in the toilet can tell us about our digestion and the possible cause of our symptoms.
The participants learn about the now prominent "leaky gut" and learn to understand what it is all about and why it can be relevant for them to become or remain healthy and efficient in the long term.
We look at why food intolerances can get in the way of our goal of optimal health and resilience, how we can identify them and what we can do to be able to eat what tastes good and does us good again in future.
Lecture: Anti-inflammatory nutrition: blood sugar stabilizing nutrition - 60 minutes
Another trend that is currently all over the media is the topic of blood sugar. Suddenly you see articles everywhere about foods that raise blood sugar levels - "low carb" or "ketogenic diets" are on everyone's lips and you see more and more people walking around the world with blood glucose meters on their arms, even if they don't have diabetes. What is this all about? And why is this trend really an important one - and what is true, what is hype, what should you pay attention to and what makes less sense? We will answer all these questions in this workshop. Participants will get answers to their questions and learn:
- What is blood sugar and how is it regulated?
- Why does elevated blood sugar promote inflammation?
- Macronutrients - what are carbohydrates/fats/proteins and what influence do they have on blood sugar?
- How does a blood sugar-stabilizing diet work and how can it be implemented in everyday life?
- Measuring and controlling blood glucose with a blood glucose meter (CGM)
Participants will receive a whole host of directly applicable tips and tricks on how they can shape their diet to stabilize their blood sugar, thereby having more constant energy, reducing weight and, of course, inflammation, and optimizing their immune system and performance.
Lecture: Brain optimization, focus, and performance in everyday work - 60 minutes
Optimal performance is a question of a healthy, strong and resilient body - in combination with a well-balanced and resilient brain. And even if it is difficult to imagine at first glance, it is also possible to train the brain and its functionality. Just as you do with a muscle, you can stimulate the brain to choose better functional mechanisms and achieve better function by repeating the new patterns. Why would you want to do this? The answer to this question is quite simple - it's not just about training the brain to perform optimally, but also about supporting it to achieve optimal well-being, happiness and satisfaction.
This is where this workshop comes in and gives participants an insight into the following important topics:
- The science and central starting points of brain optimization
- ADD/ADHD and concentration disorders - what is behind them and what can be done about them?
- Which diet is best for the brain?
- Which nutrients and supplements are important for optimizing brain function
- Which tools and technologies can be used to optimize brain function (tools to try out on site: BrainTap, Myndlift, Muse, Rezzimax, Pulsetto, HeartMath)
- Questionnaire: Which neurotransmitter support is best for me at this stage of my life?
Participants learn in a very practical and applicable way what they can do in everyday life for their brain, optimum performance and optimum well-being and how they can accelerate the process with the help of simple technical tools.
